DNNGuru.com was founded by Robert J Collins (of Brisinger Group, Inc. ) a DotNetNuke Core Team Member and a very early adopter of DotNetNuke (then called IBuySpy Workshop).  DNNGuru.com was established for and is dedicated to the promotion of DotNetNuke development by connecting DotNetNuke Project Owners with DotNetNuke Guru’s/Professionals.  “It is very important to the success of DotNetNuke and the many supporters and users that there is a ready and available pool of seasoned, qualified, and knowledgeable developers, architects, integrators, and designers that can take the DotNetNuke framework and transform it into the solutions used in the business and Internet world.” Robert, Founder of DNNGuru.com and DotNetNuke Core Team Member.

Robert J Collins has been working with DotNetNuke since the very beginning of the project (then called IBuySpy Workshop – IBSW).  He first ran across Shaun and the IBSW when doing some research to create a hybrid of the original IBuySpy Portal (IBSP).  After posting back and forth a bit with Shaun and other early adopters of what is now DotNetNuke and installing the first release of IBSW, Rob decided working with the IBSW and Shaun was the most sensible choice.

“I still remember the very fist time I install then IBSW version 1.0.  I remember speaking to Shaun and not only finding that he had a similar idea as me (to make a hybrid of IBS Portal), but that he had beat me to the punch, did a much better job of defining the user interface (inline adding of modules etc), and had even went one step further by making it all Open Source!
